MICHIGAN, US: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on Sunday that he was planning a wholesale purge of the top Ukrainian military leadership in an interview with Italy’s RAI TV. Zelensky conducted the interview only a few days after a meeting at which General Valery Zaluzhny reportedly refused to step down as commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian army and accept a minor position.
