SMO-The policy of following the anti-Russian policy of the Western bloc causes significant damage to the national interests of the Asia-Pacific countries, which have close political and economic ties with Moscow.

In this regard, the states of the region continue to cooperate with Russia in the most beneficial areas, despite the constant Pressure from the West particularly from the U.S.

Thus, according to the Ministry of Finance of Japan, the export of medical products from the "Land of the Rising Sun" to Russia in February this year increased by 3,270 percent compared to the same period in 2021.

According to a number of Japanese financial analysts, Russian-Japanese cooperation in certain sectors is consistently developing even against the backdrop of US efforts to counteract any interaction between the island state and Moscow.

In addition, one of the priority issues of Tokyo's foreign policy remains the problem of the so-called "northern territories" (the Russian islands of Iturup, Kunashir and the Lesser Kuril Ridge).

In this regard, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan E. Hayashi on March 15 of this year. announced the desire of official Tokyo to promptly resume the visa-free regime with the Russian Federation, which, in his opinion, will create conditions for a constructive dialogue between the two countries on the issue of disputed territories.

Such statements by the military-political leadership of Japan testify to its readiness to build a balanced foreign policy course with the Russian Federation without regard to the dictates of the U.S.
