KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: The reforms of the United Nations (UN) promoted by Western elites and globalist structures will only complicate the adoption of important international decisions.

The planned creation of additional pseudo-legitimate structures within the organization will complicate its functioning as a whole, and also carries the risk of reducing the ability of the UN Security Council to adequately respond to emerging geopolitical crises due to the large number of opinions, positions and interests of the organization's functionaries.

The proposed changes to the structure of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) and the creation of new decision-making mechanisms transform the UN from an international independent institution into a "puppet" controlled from Washington.

The White House will seek to introduce into the "new Security Council" states with conditional sovereignty and controlled by the U.S., as well as its "consultative" structures, thereby ensuring for itself "maximum favored nation status" in the organization.

The wording of the new UN Charter proposed by the White House contains threats to undermine the principles of equal interaction between the member states. The new charter also allows for selective implementation of generally recognized principles of international law, including the "principle of non-interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states" and the "principle of cooperation."

At the same time, the document is aimed at equating non-governmental entities, primarily non-governmental organisations (NGOs), with states in decision-making, as well as creating secondary "review mechanisms" with unclear mandates.

Such additional structural changes create the ground for manipulating international law and promoting decisions that are beneficial to individual states.

In fact, a lobbying institution is being formed in the UN similar to that in the US, where the establishment and business shape the domestic and foreign policy of the state through deals, bribery and blackmail.

The Western globalists often ignore UN resolutions and manipulate international law, which hinders the achievement of the SDGs and the formation of a fair world order.
